OUR TEAM
Anbritt Stengele
Founder and President
I founded Sports Traveler when I was a college student in 2000. Before I started my company, I was a competitive figure skater and coach. I am the co-author of the award winning book, Sports Traveler® Chicago, a sports fans guide to my home town. In 2014, I was named one of the 'Most Influential Women in Travel' by Groups Today Magazine. I served two terms on the Board of Directors of the NTA and served on the Marketplace Advisory Committee for ABA. In 2017, I was named 'Outstanding Woman in Travel and Transportation' by WITTI. My favorite cities to travel to are San Francisco, Tokyo, and London. When I'm not traveling, I play tennis and golf.
Mike Maksym
Director of Product Development and Procurement
Since joining the Sports Traveler team in 2005, I have traveled to countless sporting events across the country and different locations around the globe. I love my Sweet Home Chicago. Nothing beats our food, music, sports (except the Cubs), theatre, and attractions. My favorite domestic cities are Nashville & Milwaukee and Seoul, South Korea is my favorite international destination.
Chris Wetzel
Domestic and International Sales Associate
I joined Sports Traveler in July 2018 after moving to Chicago from Pittsburgh, PA. I’m a big soccer fan and enjoy rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. I’ve spent a lot of time traveling in South America and my favorite places I’ve visited are San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina and Ilha Grande in Brazil. In my free time, I like to get outdoors and enjoy hiking and swimming.
Olivia Engerman
Marketing Assistant
I joined Sports Traveler in 2024 after graduating from Michigan State University. As a big sports fan, you’ll usually find me cheering on my Spartans, along with the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. Some of my favorite places to visit are Los Angeles, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic. In my free time, I enjoy keeping up with sporting events, traveling to new cities, and trying new foods.
Michael Wolff
Tour Operations Coordinator
I began my career in hospitality with the Walt Disney Company for 15+ years, and then continued on to Augusta, Georgia to work in various event management positions in conjunction with the Masters Golf Tournament season. I am also a local historian and award-winning tour guide for over 20+ years leading walking, historical, and haunted tours in the Augusta area. I focus on the guest experience here at Sports Traveler and enjoy traveling on behalf of the company often as an on-site host. My favorite country to travel to outside the USA is Japan, where I love to explore the culture and history with my family.
