It's Wrigley Field, Summertime, and the All Star Game..can it really get better than this? There is probably no better place to host an All Star Game than THE Wrigley Field. Yes, Sports Traveler is based in Chicago, and yes, we probably are a little biased. Is there a more romanticized, sought-after baseball bucket list trip destination than Wrigley Field? We don't think so.

When we first started creating the MLB All Star Game Weekend package itinerary, there were so many questions we had to ask ourselves. What do we want MLB fans traveling to our city to see while they are here for only 4 days? We think we put together the perfect MLB All Star week trip to satisfy the baseball fans, and showcase the city throughout the experience.

We start on the Chicago River with an exclusive Sports Traveler Welcome River Boat Tour Cruise. The city of Chicago is best seen from this vantage point and traverses through iconic architecture and landmarks. There is nothing like the views, and the photos you will get when you are on the river looking up at these incredible buildings. We will cruise the river right before sunset with the lights of the city starting to come alive all around you.

Upgrade your experience to the Glass-top Riverboat Dinner Cruise for an experience you will never forget. I took this cruise myself, and it was a phenomenal evening. The boat is gorgeous, with reserved seating and an elegant presentation of your 3-course meal. The menu is fantastic. I had the crab and corn chowder to start, and the striped bass for my main course. For dessert, I highly recommend the cheesecake. The portions were large and filling and other menu items included short ribs, buttermilk-brined chicken breast, and lemon potato gnocchi. There were also a large selection of desserts to suit your sweet tooth. Beverages and soft drinks were included and there is a cash bar.
After the cruise, explore the Chicago Riverwalk. Visit wine bars, top quality restaurants, or find one of the comfortable places to sit back and enjoy the views of the yachts cruising past.

Our host hotel is the Embassy Suites Magnificent Mile, located in the absolutely perfect location of the city - right in the heart of Streeterville, walking distance to the Mag Mile shopping district, and Navy Pier. This hotel has it all.. location, amenities, and access to everything that makes the city of Chicago the #1 tourist destination Big City in the United States. When not exploring the city, head to the indoor pool and fitness center or enjoy a meal at one of their two on-site restaurants.
The MLB All Star festivities include the fan-favorite All Star Village, and we provide you with an easy way to get there and back on Monday. Located just a short walk from the hotel is the Millennium Station electric train that will take you directly into the McCormick Place convention center. The All Star Village is located inside this building. Trains run all day. While at the All Star Village take part in interactive games and simulators and see baseball exhibits celebrating the history of the game and the current players. Autographs are available from your favorite past and present players, and signups begin via the MLB All Star app a few days prior to the event.

Monday night we head to the Home Run Derby! Our motor coaches will be located outside the hotel and take you north to Wrigleyville in plenty of time to explore this famous neighborhood that surrounds Wrigley Field. Before heading into the ballpark, explore a little bit of the neighborhood famous bars like Goose Island (home of the 312 beer) or the fan favorite Cubby Bear. If you are into the legendary, check out Murphy's Bleachers, at their location since 1930.
After checking out everything Wrigleyville, it's on to the Home Run Derby! Tickets can be located throughout Wrigley Field. Want to sit in a particular seat? Just give us a call, and we can make it happen.
Tuesday morning, head out to explore the city after breakfast. Walk the Mag Mile, and then take the trolley out to Navy Pier, and eat at Harry Caray's Navy Pier location. Purists may recommend Harry Caray's original Kinzie Street location in River North, but you are only here for a few days so the Navy Pier location offers you a fantastic meal and outdoor dining overlooking Lake Michigan and the Chicago River locks - plus the opportunity to ride the Navy Pier ferris wheel, all in one trip.

Tuesday night we head to the 2027 MLB All Star Game! We will once again go to Wrigleyville via luxury motor coach and park close to the ballpark. The All Star Game is a ballgame to remember with the best in baseball all on one field. Tickets are available in various sections throughout Wrigley Field.
Sports Traveler also included personalized round trip private car service to pick you up at either O'Hare (ORD) or Midway (MDW) airports. Your private driver will meet you in baggage claim upon arrival and pick you up at the Embassy Suites for your return trip at the end of your stay.
We hope you can join us in our home town of Chicago so we can take you around the city and to the MLB All Star festivities! See you soon!!!
