On November 6, 2011 the Dallas Cowboys will induct 3 new members into their hallowed ring of honor. The ceremony will take place on that Sunday during the pregame festivities. The three players being inducted were all key parts of Super Bowl teams. Charles Harley was a terror at defensive end for the Cowboys and rival 49'ers. Haley collected 100 sacks in his career and is the only player in NFL history that was a member of 5 Super Bowl champion teams ('89, '90, '93, '94, '96).

It may be only week 2 of the NFL season but emotions are already running high and week 1 was as action packed as anyone could hope for. In only one week of football games we have already seen a game winning goal line stand, Tom Brady explode for over 500 yards passing, an uncharacteristic beat down for the Steelers, and a classic Tony Romo 4th quarter blunder. The first week was full of story lines and the rest of the season looks to be more and more exciting as we move along. Given that it was only week 1 of the season it is hard to take away too much from what we were able to observe during the first 16 games. However, some things are clear after watching football this past weekend.

You could almost hear a collective sigh of relief from millions of people and businesses across the country this week when the NFL officially ended the lockout. Players may now enter practice facilities and coaches can finally begin to start on work that normally gets taken care of in the spring. Coaches will quickly realize which players worked hard during the time off. It will be obvious which players take their profession seriously. Adversely, there will be several players that did not stay in shape during the break and will have a slow start to say the least. Look for the coaches across the NFL to intensify their efforts in an attempt to get their teams ready for the 2011-12 NFL season.
